Massage therapy that releases you from the pain, tensions and energies you have outgrown.

Orthopedic massage

Pain, especially chronic pain, drains our energy, taxes our relationships, and draws our attention away from enjoying life at it’s fullest potential. Many times we have been falsely lead to believe that such pains and aches are un-treatable. Fortunately, advanced techniques in massage and bodywork can be combined to bring a surprising level of relief and freedom.

Many of these techniques are at the forefront of massage therapy and only taught in the advanced studies at BCMT. Sports and Orthopedic massage can resolve a variety of neuromuscular issues and can have performance based results such as:

Increased recovery rate and recovery effectiveness. Such that you can train and compete with less impact on those daily tasks required of you (family, "honey-do" list, career, etc.)

Increased performance. Greater strength and endurance during training and competition because of improved ease of blood flow.

Easier and smoother movement. Improved neuromuscular fluidity and timing.

Whiplash. (Neck, shoulder, head or jaw pain)

Migraines.

TMJ.

Low back pain/ sciatica related issues.

Neurologic impingement; such as carpal tunnel, "double crush", thoracic outlet syndrome, etc.

Orthopedic and sports massage sessions are focused on treating specific muscular-skeletal issues. Orthopedic and sports massage are two halves of a treatment philosophy; the former focuses on moving from pain and disability to health, the latter advances from normal health to performing at your best.
