In the American culture our bodies are supposed to be covered nearly
constantly. In most of Europe nudity is perceived very
differently. While massage was developed in Europe, the draping
standards that I practice are very much American. In fact, one of the
advantages of the education at BCMT was the ability to work through clothing
to a large extent.
During a session you will be fully covered with a sheet (and blanket),
except for the parts that are being directly worked.
You may wear as much clothing as you are comfortable with. While many
techniques work only or best directly on skin, you comfort is far more
important to the final outcome than doing any technique.

Quality touch is unusual in our culture.

treated with in a week, where as that same ankle allowed to annoy you for
years will affect you walk, and thus your hips then your back going all the
way up to your neck, and then this pain will go down the body again affecting
even the other foot. The complication is how an ankle or toe problem can
finally present as chronic pain not in the ankle, but in the jaw.
